Macfarlane’s is a family run restaurant operated by the husband and wife team of Roy and Sheila Macfarlane.

Roy and Sheila originally met in 1991 at Letham Grange in Scotland where Roy was Sous-Chef and Sheila the Bars Manager.

Roy’s career has gained significant momentum since attaining his qualifications at Clydebank College in Glasgow. He has gained valuable experience taking him from positions in Kintyre to Cambridgeshire, and from Angus Tayside to Lincolnshire amongst others. He has held valuable placements at the famous Ivy Restaurant in London and also at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Oxford.

Gaining various personal accolades along the way, Roy applies himself to a dedicated and conscientious approach to his craft and the belief “that you are only as good as your last meal”

The Macfarlane’s, along with their two sons Calum and Glenn, arrived on the Isle of Man in March 2006 and since its establishment in July 2007, their Restaurant has rapidly developed its reputation as one of the Island’s finest.
